Highlight of the Newsletter
I had a photo of Steve Jobs in Thursday’s newsletter that reflected what he could look like if he was around today.
Over the weekend I ran into a clip that I missed two weeks ago where Jobs’ sidekick Steve Wozniak hopped on CNBC and discussed his beliefs in Artificial Intelligence.
If you don’t have 4 minutes to watch, the summary is he doesn’t believe that the current iteration of A.I. has the ability to learn, teach & study. He points to his background in psychology and states that “we don’t know even if memories live in the brain”. His argument is that AI as it stands is just a super algorithm humans directly question which does not have any intuition. An interesting short watch.

VEED.IO have built a great business with their AI powered Video editing tool. They are HQ in London, however they strive to be fully remote.
VEED has an awesome tale of how they came close to being accepted into Y Combinator. They were rejected because they had no revenue on a Friday, shipped a fix to start charging on the Saturday & got paying customers, but were too late to be re-admitted on the Monday. The blog telling the story is a great read.
